I am doing a 1.5 auto to a 2.0 5-spd swap and it's time to start looking into available muffler options. I will have a local shop set me up with a 2.5" and I want a muffler that is quiet, I spend 2 hr a day in the car. What has been used in the past ? I am considering either a: Magnaflow 12258 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAGNAFLOW-12258 ... 72&vxp=mtr Flowmaster 525552 http://www.ebay.com/itm/FLOWMASTER-SUPE ... 4a&vxp=mtr both are 2.5 in and dual 2.25 out, 5 x 8 or 5 x 10 oval shape with a 18" body and 23 oval length. Let me know what you think, what you have used, or what can fit. |

Get the longest glasspack inline with the pipe that goes inside the driveshaft tunnel, as far behind the drivers seat as possible, then run it the normal route with a standard muffler in the stock location. This should be pretty quiet with a little rasp when you get on it. |

Hooker Aero Chamber muffer. I had a 3" In / 3" Out version of one of these on my turbo Mirage. It was an awesome sound and I had no problems driving it on the highway. I had 2 other friends go this route as well. Also, a DSM shop in VA that I used to help out at swears by this muffer, the owner runs it on his 600hp 1g and I believe has has since put one on his Colt. I highly recommend it. http://www.jegs.com/p/Hooker-Headers/Ho ... 3/10002/-1 |
