Just thought I'd share, if anyones car is faded, red cars this works best on! But anyways wipe
& rub trans fluid on it & it will help restore the faded color to the original color, works great! I'm gonna finish up my car and will show before and after pics.. Just thought I'd share a little tip, that doesn't cost much, and has great results!

I'm sure this works well but if you ever plan to repaint it that crap will be a nightmare to get off. Probably have to completely strip it and prime it to keep the paint from having fish eyes all over it.

Polishing it with light duty compound and a high speed buffer with a sponge attachment would be the best way to do it, but just washing it and waxing it would get you pretty decent results.

I'm just throwing it out there, I learned this from one my auto teachers.. For some reason works best on original red color cars.. Use rag rub and wipe off little trans fluid on sun faded areas like u would with wax and than wash.. Really helps restore the original color, works great! And yes iv tried waxing, buffing etc On cars before, I tried that on my colt, and than tried trans fluid and it worked huge improvement! And no after washing, the smell does go away..but the color comes back

Turtle wax does make special wax kits for red and black cars to restore it.

Nothing works better than doing it the right way if your clearcoat isn't almost dead: some 2000+ grit compound and a wool pad->finer compound 2500-3000 grit compound with a foam black pad ->high speed polish with a good glaze polish with a blue pad. Finish with some carnauba wax for your deep red shine.

If you're too lazy for that then try the polish systems this website and following their application guide:
http://www.zainostore.com/

Can't go wrong there.
