 Post subject: Brake help

OK, this may be a stupid question, but are the front brakes off of a 1G AWD the same as off of a 1G FWD. My friend has a parts car and he said we can take them, but the car is a AWD and I'm not sure if they'll work.

No they are not especially if their 93-94 they came with dual pistons their sort of similar on the rest but 93-94 are way different

i'm not worried about the calipers, he's gonna take them, i'm just concerned about the mounting and the hub and everything, I want to do the five lug conversion on the fronts,

no the brackets and stuff are different the brackets are for 256 mm discs and do not fit your calipers you would have to use the whole knuckle brake disk and bracket and caliper if your going to do this conversion... Note it can give bumpsteer depending on your setup...
