I heard a rumor that stock EVO 9 timing belts are made of Kevlar from the factory. It should have the same number of teeth. Just sayin'

Regular Gates would be a good option if you don't find a good performance one for the 61t

My bad. If you need one for the 61t, I'd just run whatever you can find, because hardly anyone will have them available.

Call JNZ for the OEM one.
MD133116 or MD145714 Part number

I have read bad story with aftermarket like Contitech on Tuners

Been running Contitech for years. NEVER an issue. Same with Gates. Never had an issue with the 151 tooth 1.6L belts from either company. They are just as reliable as the Mitsubishi belts.

I've run Gates belts on everything I've done timing belts on, no issues so far. About to stick one on a 2.7 v6.

OEM all the way. I wouldn't trust my engine with anything else.
