The stock fuel pumps are good for just over 200hp. If you're doing the 4G63 swap or really pushing the 4G61 engine, then you probably need to upgrade the fuel pump.
The Stock 1G & 2G DSM pumps are not much of an upgrade. The flow rates are very similar to the flow rate of the original mirage pump. Thus they are not worth the time it takes to drop the gas tank and swap.
If you are going to upgrade go ahead and upgrade to a walbro or supra TT pump. Either of these pumps will flow enough for most mods that you'll do to the 4g63 engine.
