I purchased the part today from Home Dept for $1.26. Works beautiful!! Now the person that had the car before me tried to weld the selector arm some kind of way and the selector arm broke off. He didn't know about the 2inch extension needed. Which selector are you using. Keep in mind that I have a 4g63t motor&tranny swap in a 1.6T body. Im looking for a selector I just don't know which oneis needed. You have been a great help BD Mitsu.

Get a small block of aluminum and tap it with normal thread direction and pitch on one side to match the cable's bolt threads and do reverse threading on the other side; this way you can make it any size you want. :o 8)

So this mod enables you to use the stock shifter cables for the 1.5 tranny correct? Also you don't have to change out the shift levers in the tranny or whatever they are called? If so I vote we move this to the archives!
