Hi everyone ,
we'll call this someone else's glory part 2 :

my buddy Alan aka MKITFST ran this time at last saturday's last import event at New England Dragway . He's running with the following mods:

stock 1.6 with a 14B , Conquest front mount , fuel pump , 1G TB and exhaust cam .Race gas pushing 25# of boost . 180,000 miles on the engine . 15" slicks on narrow 6" rims

I just wanted to give him props for possibly having the quickest stock bodied 1.6T CSM . Thanks !

NO fuel control !!! his MAS is heavily modified , 450 injectors & supra pump . no datalogging either . He realizes he's racing a timebomb , but he'll push it until it pops ! BTW should we consider your hybrid a 1.6 w/big pistons or a 2.0 with short stroke ?

I was turning similar mph with basically the same setup (AFC/MASC, 14b, Star/Quest IC, fuel pump, 450cc injectors), however, I was running only 18psi.

I'd bet the 14b makes very little extra power from 18-25psi, much like the way a t-25 just superheats the air over 16psi and makes little extra power.

Good driving, btw to get a 12.6 out of 109mph!

I was thinking the same, must be hard on the 14b to be pushing that boost. Although lately i'm sure i have read of ppl pushing the 14b beyond 18psi, just can't remember who it was or where I read it :(
