Post subject:  Toe in angle for Drag racing

Would this be a good thing? since the amount of power the 2.0 liter is doing and the little frame of the car i think it migh get into a toe out angle under hard acceleration.

Any body tried this on their car for drag race?? underdog?

actually, here goes

if you toe out slightly it will create a better contact patch, as the tires toe in under hard acceleration, rubber gives a little, and tires rotate forward on the imaginary pivot point located by the control arm bushings, as the tires have to pull the car forward.


if you toe in, it will make it worse,

toe out will screw up your high end stability, whigh is bad

so , i would reccomed just aligning it to stock specs

my car is set toe out.... kinda like this on jack stands \ / when the car is on the ground you really cant tell, but this def helped in initial traction... and YES some high end stability is lost. Hopefully i can pick up a quaife soon.

I had to add a brace between the lower front monting points for the control arm because the crossmenber flexs so bad, but it flexed inwards not out, I did end up going with some toe out to help reduce the effects even after the urathane bushings and the lower brace.

I could see the flex with the naked eye and on the videos of my runs. But I was running 1.55ish 60 ft times with 28x10.5x15 slicks.
