 Post subject: 89 colt gt in STS?

i tried searching and didn't find definite answers to the question. have people run their 4g61t colt/mirage gts in scca's sts class? in their solo classifications they list some 1.6 and 1.8 liter turbocharged cars, so i thought it could be a possibility. thanks

Nope. All turbos have to be pre-approved by the SEB and the board never did. If you want them to consider it, write out a case and send it to SEB@scca.org

Keep in mind, it's too late for the 2007 rule book change so the first time that it could go into effect is for the 2008 season.
