Since I have a light ass colt allready and some jealous faukers smashed my windows out this weekend....

My favorite form of revenge would be to just jump it up to Lexan for the rear hatch side glass and maybe even rear glass(not broken yet but its a non defrost/wiper hatch). I work at a sign company and have access to wholesale pricing and scraps that can be cut from. I can get the car inspected still w/ the lexan (lick and stick) and basically looking for a barely streetable car.

I wanted to know the thickness of the material and if there are any templates of any sort to cut from. I'd like to make a DIY project out of it.

Thanks for your help!

well I found some more info from a company that does legal lexan glass for racing (1/8" legal for side and rear). I took approx. measurements and with a custom cut if I can outline my glass just right it should run me around $52 for the material and under $100 total for the cut.

What really helps is that i work in the sign industry and I grab this stuff at cost...I read about using sheetmetal screws?

I thought drilling and riveting would be the best/look best.

I also saw in another thread on here about the factory trim holding in the lexan to retain a stockish look.

it would be awesome if you got these made, i am interested in lexan windows. But so you coould install and not get hassled by cops for having rivets around the window

Rivets: As far as rivets getting cop attention...Vinyl could easily be used to cover them which I also have readily available. The camaro I was reading about actually used sheetmetal screws instead and that would be even easier to hide w/ some black vinyl striping over it.
