Good call jmauld. I completely forget about Hyundai aftermarket sometimes - not much there for me. The Grandeur XG (hence the "XG" callipers) conversion would work. The rotor diameter on those is only 274mm dont let the pic of 320mm rotors fool you so im not sure if that's much of an upgrade for you although every bit helps.
274mm is about 15mm larger then mine. And if it's a multi-pot caliper then it would definitely be an improvement. $800 worth, I'm not sure.

Do you know what they're doing to transfer to non-captive hubs?

Im pretty sure they are just hubs that have been reworked to locate the rotor on the other side of the hub so that the wheel studs hold the rotor on like most other cars. Might not be a good idea to take my word for it as I have never acutally seen the product. :-?

Any chance these would work? http://www.sharkracing.com/sus/hyundai/bigbrakekit.html

Notice this comment about mid-page
"(captive rotor kit also includes non-captive hubs and bearings) "

I've already emailed them and asked about these, so hopefully they'll be able to provide some info.
D@mn, why didn't someone tell me Shark Racing was just in Oceanside? I could piss on that city from my house. Once I get my car rolling I'll have to drop by their place.

Wow, I didn't think anyone else on this forum would know that. $hit, it even took me a while to get that. To let the others know, Oceanside is south of Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton.
