This was the first time I ran it with all the upgrades. The car handled great! Especially with the Hoosiers! I was concerned that it would lag like crazy, and/or spin the hell out of the inside wheel....but honestly, the car pulled nicely through most corners in 2nd gear, and I didn't really get crap for wheelspin...even on the launch (obviously didn't drag-launch it).

I'm still waiting for results to be posted, but I did ok....beat a LOT of cars, including my buddy's freshly sr20det-swapped and coilovered 240sx (which I built myself!). I also have some really good video that will be be posted soon. I'll post updates as soon as I get more info...just wanted to let you guys know that the Mirage is going to be badass in the turns (it's already really good). Once I get the next round of mods done...this car will friggin annihilate!

Some decent video (my buddy's sr20det 240sx, my car, an A-mod cart thingy, another friend's Neon, another friend's Legacy GT, etc)

KYB AGX 1G DSM FWD up front set to 4, GR-2 (CSM) in back. Tenzo GF2 1G DSM FWD springs on all 4 corners. Front and rear strut tower bars (cheap ebay ones). That's it. The car is handling great, and is extremely stable at high speed. I'm just waiting on all of my bushings to show up, so I can really tighten the car up. I've also got a set of Prothane motor mounts coming. AND...I just scored a set of Corbeau A4 seats. As soon as I get the brakcets, those mofos are gettin bolted in. After that, the only other suspension/handling mod I have planned is a 6pt roll cage. The car should be solid as a rock after that.

I'm glad to hear someone else autocrosses their car. A lot of people here only know the colt to be fast in a straight line. With little suspension mods and good tires and brakes these cars handle very well.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm running on 205/50-15 Hoosiers...which probably aren't warming up during the autocross...but I'm sure they will when it gets a little hotter down here.

I just watched the video, I thought you were on a track with other cars not a Solo parking lot event. Anyway looks like you had fun. Try to get your car out at a lapping day at your local track were you can get up to speeds in excess of 100mph. Your Hoosiers will warm up then.

Tell me about it. There's a track day coming up in Birmingham that I might to. Too bad it's a 4 hour drive though!

No one mentioned drifting except you. We are talking about track days were you go out with other cars on the track at the same time and try to run as fast a lap time as possible. It is not a timed event, not a race and definately not drifting.

Yeah, I'm lost on the drifting thing. Maybe because I spun out? Who knows.

isnt normally autocross set as a solodex event asi'ms sure u know more, so drifting would be non-individual, at every solodex/autocross meet i have been to they have done solodex and not had more then one person on the track at a time, this is through the sunriders organization.

That's funny. And yeah, it's pretty much like that Solodex stuff. The course is usually long enough so that you can start a second car when the first car is about halfway done with it's run. That's the only way we can get 180 cars doing 4 runs each in a day! It's nutz.

that is pretty crazy, 180cars, i can't wait till april 8th....the next autocross meet here is on that day, my car didn't pass inspection last time HAHA cuz i didn't have my passenger seat fully bolted down, and some other things my car was also dripping a lil bit of oil like 2-3 drops ever couple min,, but I did run it Just not competing they just let me run the course near the end, I found out I really should use a strut bar with stock set up on a colt gl, body roll from hell but It ran good, my hopes tho is to have my gr2's and obx coilover conversions on in time for that. I'm just waiting for my bills to go away before i spend my money on the gr2 and pay for my suspension and an alignment. I set up a part on my cargo cover to mount my camera so that'll be a nice video. Altho i'm keep this colt a 1.5 my other one is gettin the conversion I wanna max my 1.5 out eventually, but i'll post up my autocross i'm sure i'm gonna do pretty sucky, but it'll be fun either way
