What times are '61t cars with slicks achieving(60')? What seems to be an optimal size, and from whom?
Thanks for replys.

Best I have seen is 1.6's and 1.5's. I think the norm is like 1.8. As usual bigger is better 26x8x15 in a good size but 24" works too. Hossier and Mickey tompson are popular.

you might have major clearance issues with a 26" slick.

a great all around size is 24x8x15, and until that size came out, 22x8x15 was the way to go.
Tom (underdog) was cutting 1.6 60ft times with 22" slicks on a 20g.

He was cuttin 1.6 60'? I don't remember seeing that and his best on his site was in the 1.70s i think. 26" tall slick is gonna change the gearing too much to wrap out 4th gear properly I think. I would go with a 24" or maybe even a 22".

Forgot the biggets consideration how much power are you planing. 22" is fine for the 300-400 HP Cars if its 400+ I would say you wnat 24" and up. Nothing bigger then 22" will fit without massaging read as baseball bat method, 26" will fit if you roll the fenders.
