Take into account the car is completely gutted to the max, its running a haltech, and no detail was left unattended to in making the whole thing work together.
I think the car is an amazing example of 'making the most of what you have' and there is a lot of pride to be taken in doing 10's on a 14B without nitrous (or AWD for that matter).
AFAIK, there are no 16G cars in the 10's.

That 16g flows similar to some 50 trims. Plus he's considered to be just a decent driver

Oh, my bad, I thought we were discussing DSM's with old school 4G63's here...

That car is lighter then most race cars, and take into account hes basically got a full built car the only thing thats not is the 14B. I give him props, but the avrage joe is not exactly going to be acomplishing that. For what he has in the intercooler he could have a kick ass turbo.

That is still a pretty good feat with what he is running with. Now someone needs to do that in a csm :P

I would think that is possible, honduhs can run 10s n/a, I am sure a 4g63 or 4g64 could develope some big n/a power. But I asked myself, "why waste all of that money trying to run n/a when you can make alot more power with a turbo?"
It would still be interesting to see someone build a n/a csm drag car.
Just my .02

Its funny if you guys remeber extreme motorsports had a black mirage, it was like a 97 or so all tubed and stuff but he ran that when his awd was basiclaly outlawed, well after it was sold it was suppose to be an all motor car, but after the custom 2.4l motor poped on the dyno the owner gave up.

Joe posted this on tampabay.dsm.org regarding the weight of project goodwill:

"I don't have time to bring it to the scales and I don't care that much about what it weighs. It did what I wanted it to do. It still could be lighter. It has a full steel stock hood, steel hatch, Heavy stock brakes, heavy cheap front wheels and 40lbs of undercoating. I also have visions of carbon doors, one piece front end, tube front end and tube rear axle. Thats off that top of my head.

With that said, I'd bet $10 bucks that it is within 20lbs of 2050 with me in it."

Also the car still has a stock engine. A built engine is in the works along some nitrous.
