Hello 4g61t.com

I was just wondering if any of the Members here that do Rally, would like to share their suspension info with me.

Pictures and links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I know of 2 or so members that actually rally on the board. i'd like to rally-x, but i don't want to screw my car up like that so i'll end up on road courses or something. anyhow, coilovers would probably help you out a bit as you can raise and lower them depending on terrain. i don't really know what spring rates you'd be using though. i'd prolly reccomend against the rear sway bar for rallying simply because i'd be afraid it could catch a rock or something... strut bars could definitly help strengthen your chassis though. i'd also recommend a wider tire to grab more traction. out of curiousity, what would you be rally-xing?

I've done rally-x in my WRX and I'd recommend putting the money into a good set of rally tires. You will be faster around the track than getting suspension/chassis modifications. Most stock suspensions are ok as long as they aren't about to fall apart. 180 lb springs work well for a light car like the Colt. KYB AGX and other entry level ones don't live long offroad - the dampening just dies. If you want to get a dedicated setup go big with Ohlins or DMS. The thicker the strut the better for durability too.
