Ok , I'm tring to decide what set up to use for the mirage . It's a 89' C53 turbo . I have looked through the messages , and it seems like the all around set up is :

1 - 1G AWD "Ground Control" spring kit
2 - 1G AWD Koni Yellows for the front
3 - stock replacement shocks for the rear (because there is not anything else available for our cars ?)

Any other tips , suggestions , etc , would be appretiated . I intend to daily drive this vehicle and also use it for auto - x , maby a little track time .

- Chris

yeah, those with dss coilevers swear by them (including me) and those with ground control coilovers swear by those. I think both are tied for first place when it comes to the coilovers. Koni's are the only way to go as far as i'm concerned. the rear are replacements, the fronts are the inserts. in addition to that, i've also got the dss rear sway bar, 2g rear strut bar, and 4g mirage front strut bar all on there.

Ok , thanks for the input . One other thing though , I was looking throught the KONI catalog this morning , and found that they have a listing for sport shocks for the C53 cars . They list 8641-1172 for the front and 8040-1080 for the rears . Are these not the yellow's ? If they are , do you think it would be good to stick the with these instead of the eclipse awd .

BTW , there is a auto-x at hollywood park this sunday , $40 to run if anyone is interested .

Yes you should stick with these and not with AWD eclpse stuff. Alot of people are cheap and buy whats cheap and not the right thing for the job.

yeah, it's always best to spend the few extra dollars to get the part that fits instead of improvising and then spending the money a second time to do what you should have done in the first place
