What's the widest rim that anyone has fit on a colt and been able to tuck the tires under the fenders? I'll roll the fenders like hell if I have to but I don't want to do flares. I"m not worried about max tire width as I'm going road racing so there is no point on shoving a huge tire on too narrow a rim as it doesn't perform any better. Any hope of 8"? wider? narrower?

If your planning on competing, the widest most classes will let you run is 7" and that is pretty wide on a CSM. You may get an 15x8 put its gonna be close if you lower the car more than an inch.

If I compete I'm looking at ITE anyway. Car isn't classed in ITA, ITB, ITC or ITS... :(

For AutoX i'll be street mod it sounds like.

Car will definitely be lowered a good amount. I can fit some wilwoods under 15x7s so that may be my size of choice although it sure would be nice be able to go to 8.5".

I know ITE is a free for all class of sorts, but you'll still have to conform to the IT specs which will be 15x7" max.

I don't think that's true, at least in the rocky mountain region? My friend's 3si just got teched for ITE and is running 18x9s? If ITE is a free for all, then what rules do you have to follow and what can you break ya know?

I'll be playing with this more. I'm going to get some 15x7s but I want to get the offset right so that they are as close to the coilover (which i don't have yet) as possible and then I can tuck some 225 race rubber under a rolled fender with the car lowered....I hope

They will say on the wheel usually. It will be in the +35 to +40 range probably. How much space do you have to the strut and how far do they stickout past the fender?
