:-? Hard too say. we were using 20lbs, but it was just hitting too hard. I couldn't keep the boost down on my manual one, so we put in another. Twelve pounds seemed to work well. I plan to try my top pull @ 20 lbs., but who knows? Let's use 20 lbs. for base.

I put down 280/260ish on a B16G at 20psi with a starion, so I'll play it safe and say 310/300tq

I'm thinking 350HP/320 TQ. I'd be curious to see because your motor sounds a lot like the motor I have with the only difference being that I have a little larger FMIC and I'm running FP2 cams.

my bro's colt dyno'd 315 and 330 tq at 22 psi and 104ish octane, the only difference is bill has sds, 750cc injectors and cams....

i am guessing 330 and 340 ish on pump gas at 18-20 psi and a little over 350hp at 24 psi on higher octane fuel.

is there any prize if we guess correctly?

A prize would be good. But what? It's not worth much, and I can be a cheap a---. I know, the closest one gets a beer at the Buscher Shootout.
UPDATE: time schedule is for 1200 EST. (Is that "High Noon"?)

:) :-? :o Well, it's done. The bottom line is: Max POWER=288.4 @ 4.2K; Max TORQUE=306.5 @ 5.5K. I am verty satisfied. It was a Dynojet model dyno. I had numerous pulls to tune. Blew one tube(no T-bone clamp) several times. Full boost @3.8K. Boost over 12 lbs is a waste. The max pull was at 21 lbs., but the line was just going down. I plan to leave it at 12lbs. and go 20 at the track.
Question: although the HP number is dropping after 6K, would MPH still be increasing??
Results give a mixed impression. The set-up is great for street, which I want. I believe that it can run in the 12's. I know that I can tune closer to destruction, but why bother? My main bud, customtheColtgt, is livid. He say the machine lies. So now the motorheads are taking up a collection to buy a second opinion. Talk never ceases. Loving it. Bill

   Duh! I goofed again. I got the RPM's switched. The max TORQUE was 306.5 @4.2K; the max POWER was 288.4 @5.5K.
At 6K, the power was about the same, but the torque had dropped. I can't remember the figures, but I worked out the formula given and at 6K the numbers worked out mathmatically. Well, the fund grows, so we may hit it again at a higher boost. Till then, I'm looking for Mar. 5, for test &tune at the track. Bill

Yes, good results with an evo3 at 12 psi. But I'm perplexed as to why the power did not increase with higher boost. Boost leak, exhaust restriction, slipping clutch?
Anyway, you have a nice ride Bill, I hope to see it someday.

hmmm, yeah, your tube that was blowing might have also been leaking boost when it didn't blow off... but good numbers either way!

:o "After further review...." I notice that my air/fuel ratio was set right at 12.00. (Very rich.) I had thought that it would have been worked to 12.8 or 13.0, which is rich but within a more desireable mix. I may bump it later, but I will not go for another dyno. to get it. I'll try data logging. Any views on what changes can be made with a .8-1.0 leanout?? Oh, I used 93 pump gas.

On pump gas 12.0 for your afr is actually a good idea. You'd be surprised how close to a critically lean condition can come up by just a 2-3psi boost spike.
