The 4G15 ISC is a DC motor w/ a potentiometer to tell the ECU what position the ISC is in.
The 4G6x DOHC ISC is a stepper motor. The BISS is used to actually set the ISC to a well defined starting point.

They won't swap. But you could try to adapt your 4G15 ISC to the 60 mm TB.

A giant TB like that will do you know good. What you need is a SOHC TB from a 2.0L Galant, or even from the 1.8L SOHC Eclipse.

Well, it's worth a try, isn't it? There are Suzuki Swifts running around w/ a 60 mm Nissan TB, and they run good on the little 1.3L engines. :o Why shouldn't we 4G15 owners be lucky, too? :D

well it seems to be working out with the vehicle fine except the throttle surges... and i cant get the screws off of the bottom of my isc's so i can swap them out....dont really know what to do...when it starts it idles high at 3000 for about 2 secs then it rises to about 4200-4500 for another sec or too then drops to 1000 with a constant throttlw surge from about 1000-1500 and never stops surging..the throttle response is sweet. pegging the rev limiter at about a quarter to half thottle..the car never bogs and dies but now i have "CEL" but i dont have anything to scan it with. figure its the isc since its not hooked up but wont know till i get everything w orking properly..Help!!!

What's TTT?

Error codes can be read very easily. Just hook an LED's positive terminal to pin 1 (the uppermost) on the diag connector and the negative terminal to pin 12 (the lowermost). Do a search, it has been explained several times how to interpret the error codes.

The surges are from an overly large idle bypass in that TB the 4g15 is getting way too much air put on a 1.8L Talon TB and the problem will go away...

Sh1t f*ck h3ll d@mn! I can't find that site where a member (his name is Rob IIRC) installs a 60mm TB in his 4G64 Galant. He has a quite good writeup what to do. At first, his car idled @ 3500 revs, then he used some RTV to block some certain passages on the ISC and had his idle lowered to 900. 8)

I wouldn't want to use RTV incase it got sucked in my intake that would be a disaster...

Exactly. But it worked for him, and he also suggested fabbing a gasket instead of using the RTV.
