As long as the fuel pressure regulator is working good, you'll be fine. |

Nope. The ECU controls the fuel pump via the MPI relay. However, you can just hook +12V to the fuel pump test connector in the engine bay. It's the capped one near the wiper motor on the firewall, that has just one wire leading to it. IIRC the wire was yellow-red colored. |

Below stereo infront of shifter, remove plastic section and you will uncover the MPI relay, small gold box with about 5 wires more or less running into it. That sucker stopped me from driving my rebuilt motor for about a week, yeah I thought my pump was bad. Well just goes to show little things can stop you from going anywhere. If you grab the box turn the key and you feel the box clicking, its done , dead and it needs to be replaced. To see if your pump is working, disconnect the fuel line running to the fuel rail and put a small bucket under it, turn the key and see if fuel shoots out. Oh yeah this might not work if the MPI relay is dead, sorry just a thought. |

Could be your ECU... ECUI not powering the MPI relay and not turning on your fuel pump get those damn ECU caps replaced... |
