I did the swap. The Hyundai exhaust manifold is round and somewhat smaller than the Mitsubishi part. Porting is possible but because the Hyundai part uses round runners as opposed to rectangular you can only open the throats up so far. I don't know how much cross-sectional area is lost, a fair amount judging from visual inspection. I am not noticing any big improvements in low end torque, but on the other hand, I haven't noticed a loss in HP at high rpm. Hard to tell, it's a 3-speed
All in all I would say the swap is doable. If you're putt-putting around like me it's fine.
PS: I expect drivability to improve when I install and connect an O2 sensor. I just plugged the hole with the old unit til I get a new one.
