you mucked up!!!

it's line noise... you needs to buy a filter OR try putting a inline fuse... :P

Could be small power/grouding wires. It could be a transformer in it also, the louder it goes, the more humming will come from a transformer. Is it just a deck or is there an amp hooked up there somewhere too? Is the humming coming out of the speakers?

the hum is coming out the speakers. i thought it could be the ground...
i'll just go to radio shack and get a filter. hopefully that fix up the humming.

i have an amp but to lazy to hook it up. but i do have 6x9's hook up in the back.
thanks for the replies.

Chances are, you have a bad ground somewhere. might not be the stero connections though. I had a 66 mercury that hummed like crazy. Ended up it was a loose ground from the exhaust manifold to the frame. fixed the ground and noticed no more hum. On the other hand, i have a Rockwood amp that i dont use anymore because it will hum no matter what you do.

I found my old rockwood cd player. It comes with two inline fuses, last time i had in there it turned well, i'm going to install it tomorow and put the Sony in my mom car.
