Alright, so I'm looking for a new trans for my 89 colt 1.5. I've spent the last couple hours looking around and found little info about the swaps with hydro clutch. someone said they can swap 4g cable clutch trannys into 3g cable clutch tranny.

What other cars had the same trans? i coulda swore i've seen posts with people using hyundai transmissions too, just not sure on the year/model

Any info will be most appreciated as i've got a bad axle stuck in my current trans, and am looking for a new trans now.

Any info on how to remove a stuck axle from a trans?

I've used a pickle fork and a crowbar to pull axles before, if those won't work for you, you can always use the "right" tool.

well i've always used the same, i even tried separating it with chisels but it wont pop out. I use a lil crow bar but its still not budging. I'll have to check and see about getting that tool though, if it works that'd solve everything...just a new seal and pop my new axle in.

if not, a list of cars with a trans that will work with 3g 1.5 axles would also help...or atleast a link to a post with that info...i know ive seen them before, but its been a few yrs since i was looking for what axles work with what etc.

I believe the Hyundai excel trans will work too but I'm not positive.

They can be a pain in the ass if that little circlip decides to be a pain, just keep working on it and it'll pop eventually.
