Ok guys, I've been trying to find a replacement trans for a bit. Shaun has a F5M22 from a 1g DSM non turbo, and I know it will bolt up. But 1. will I need to use a different flywheel? Or is the 4G15 fine to reach the starter. 2. Will my Colt 1.5 CVs fit trans to frame distance? Or will I need a certain combo of CSM/DSM CV? |

Grab the 1g non turbo flywheel & clutch assembly for this, I believe the starter plate (between block and trans) you will need also. Perfect fitment with 1.5 Colt axles. |

So, if I bolt the flywheel up, order a new clutch set for a 1g, everything should work out perfect? And I thought the starter plate was just a dust shield? Thanks for the reply man. Looks like I can finally have one of the Colts back up. |

The starter plate lines up the starter and mounts it properly, you must have the correct starter plate for the transmission or you will not be starting the car. |

Copy on that starter plate, I don't think he is sending a starter plate attached or with, so I'll have to source one out of a N/A 1g, right? And he is sending a lightened flywheel for an NA 1g so Im good there. You guys are awesome. Thanks. |

I'm not sure if it matters for the starter plate, but the 1g turbo bellhousing is bigger than a non turbo bellhousing. So if you use it I'm not sure it would work... Someone else on here may have more info/input on that though. |
