Alright, so I've been looking around for some info on head bolt torque specs. I came across this:

http://www.freewebs.com/mitsu-info/Engine.pdf

At the end of this, it clearly says to torque to 52-55 lbs (70-75 nm).

When I did the head gasket on the my 4g93 I had to tighten them down to a certain torque, and then loosen, then re-torque them. (or maybe it was my 1g 4g63t head gasket-- I forget)

Is the 1.5 in this colt the same way? tighten and then loosen, then re-tighten? in the right order of course.

Also it looks like this was for 90's 4g15 engines, should be fine for the 89?

If anyone has this info for sure, or if you look over this info I've posted here and see something wrong, feel free to let me know please. I need to know if I need to torque, loosen, and then torque again before saturday, as I'll be doing this then.

Thanks for any info. -- and I also noticed this is already on the forum under lil evo's manuals

I have an 89 Mitchel manual, and it says: cold engine 51-54 ft/lbs, hot engine 58-61 ft/lbs and the only footnote is to tighten in sequence.

<----- Timing belt side
~~8 6 1 3 9
~10 4 2 5 7

And yeah the diagram is reversed unless you sit on the windshield to tighten your head, but that's how it appears in the book.
