Okay, so it seems ever since I changed my timing belt and front crank seal, my car has been running slow. On my way home from school a couple days ago, I started to drive up a road that wasn't very steep at all and it took 19 seconds to get from 40 to 50mph. Yesterday coming home, another slight incline going 55mph, I put the peddle all the way down going up it, and it was dropping in speed. I don't think that the timing was off when putting it all back together, but I guess there is always a chance. Do you guys think something could have happened during the last install? I don't know if I'm able to move the distributor at all to change the timing if it is off just a little. Thanks again for your help guys. |

There is a difference between mechanical timing (timing belt) and ignition timing (distributor). Check your ignition timing with a timing light, check your cam timing by verifying all marks line up at TDC. |

Sounds to me like you're retarded........one tooth! However one tooth either way should run, just not well. Had that happen plenty of times on the 1.5 during a belt job. Do what Nocturnal said and you should be fine I would think. |
