I've still been having that oil leak and I don't want it to ruin my alternator.. AGAIN.

It's pretty dead at work so I'm going to try and get it done today.

I'm just going to soak it with some pb blaster and try a long breaker bar.
If that doesn't work, I may even try the torch on it.

This oil leak is just annoying so gunna see what I can do.

Just found out I have a valve cover leak too, but nothing a new gasket can't fix.

I just wanted to be sure before I started everything, which way to turn the crank bolt to get it off? counter? or clockwise?

Counter clockwise.

Watch the motor spin as you have someone start it. Now, the bolt is going to go the opposite way to release, counterclockwise.

Use an Oxy-acteylene torch if you are going to heat the bolt head. Torch the bolt head directly head on, and then let it cool. Do it one more time and let it cool. You can probably get away with 30 seconds per cycle, of direct heat. Make sure the torches are setup to have the little blue flame tips right at the gas outlet. Have a spray bottle to keep the outer areas of the pulley cool.

Let the bolt finally cool like 20+ seconds after heating it the second time, and have at it with one big hammer like motion. It better let go.

So far so good.

I've gotten off:
Motor mount
Crank bolt/Pulley
Crank gear, - Next is the seal
Timing belt cover
Water pump pulley

I used the starter trick for the crank bolt. It was not that bad. 2 clicks and it was off.

Car is back together, and took her for a test drive.

All went well!

Glad to hear there was no drama dealing with snapped bolts in the crank snout.
