im having no luck here finding another ecu at the local junk yard. im thinking of doing the 4g37 parts swap. any comments or advice on the parts swap like cleaning or any wiring complication a NEWB could run into?

you guys will not frickin believe what it was. took it to the "local" farm town mechanic and he re wired the coil backwards. took it to another shop and they figured it out in half hour.

the moral of the story: dont take your car to the same guy who fixes your tractors. :moo:

so, you know how it says noob in the description? change it to oober noob.
took it to a shop and they said it was the computer.
I have been replacing that black box under the radio this whole time. (The PCM i think?)
so :prayer: you guys are the bomb, and i should have researched this problem a little further

So it was the computer/ECU? Looks we give good advise. Infact, it looks like every post said something about the ECU :D

so i got the 4g37 ecu and it works like a charm! same with the TB and waiting to buy some new injector rubber seats. had a heyday at the pull&save here.

Thanks! and unfortunately that thing on the bumper is gone... rock must have hit it cuz i found the chain there with no "omocha" there.
probably should start a build thread or something
