| I take it I can not fix broken ones in my driveway. The whole assembly must go to a shop? Thanks, George | |

| Or you can buy a 12 ton press for $100 and do it yourself! | |

| Out of pure necessity and wasting alot time/energy you could try to use a vice or a big hammer. At the risk of breaking more parts it might be better to let a pro do it. | |

| If the stud will clear behind the rotor, then yes a BFH will knock them out everytime. I do this everytime we mash the threads on one at work or when I have the luxury of one that was mashed and left for the next guy. If the stud will not clear, then yes you will have to remove the rotor/hub assembly for pressing. I can't remember if these captives have to be fully disassembled for stud removal or not. | |

| I would just spend the money on a pair of expo knuckles. They are a direct swap and it gets rid of the captive rotor setup. You might be able to fix it with a slide hammer to separate the hubs while its still on the car but I can assure you it will be a PITA. | |

| I took the knuckle to the friendly muffler shop. $15.00 out the door! I will have to look into the Expo knuckles. | |
