Great site guys! I just got into these colts, greats cars. I see everyone pretty much cutting their canisters, does this really do anything? what are the pros and cons of doing this? Im looking to do something to the 4g15 before I swap a 4g63t into it in a few months. Thanks

Do you mean that people cut their "air cleaner" canister? If that's the case, they do it for more airflow but not much more.

In my opinion it only lets hot air from the engine compartment in. On the 4G15 I highly doubt that you will see any gains except for maybe a little more intake sound, if that.

yeah i wanted to ask because i would think hot air would get in from the engine
