Post subject:  Electrical problem???
I own a 1997 Colt GLXi. For no apparant reason, both my intermittent and rear wipers have stopped working?? and as i havent got an owners manual yet, i am unsure as to what fuse or fuses these are linked to. Strange thing is that my main wipers will work if switched to constant but they will not work when switched to intermittent?? Also (sorry if i'm going on...) I have observed that my washers although on the same stalk still work. Would this more probably be a faulty unit or a fuse problem??? Thanks in advance, as i really havent got a clue:(

Sounds like a faulty intermittant wiper relay if you ask me. Now if it like the new Colts you have to replace the stalk switch because the relay is built-in to the switch or there may be a controlling relay by your fuse box somewhere...

just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons!!!! All the problems I was having and now everything has started working again??? Great i thought as i left the house this morning to do some shopping!!! Only to come back to my car and find someone has very kindly driven either their car or a trolley right down the side of my nearside rear panel!! One minor electrical fault has become one major bodyshop repair as not only have they left a metre long scratch right down the side of my car but also done it hard enough to buckle the panel :evil: To say im pissed off and would like to catch whoever did it is an understatement:(!!!
