I got the car for free from my friends dad. (he was gonna junk it!!) So i took it off his hands. Now me and a friend really want to do the turbo eclipse swap. I've already read the post on this site for the swap. I have found a website that is sellin the engine complete with 5 sp trans. and all the neccessary parts. i would just like to know if ne one has heard of this site before because i dont want to order it from there and then have it turn out that the place doesnt exist. [url:l71nydid]http://www.jspecauto.com[/url:l71nydid] Also if anyone has any other place i could get and engine i would apreciate it. Any other information u have would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard of these guys before. But your going to have to call and make sure they have the engines in stock, last time we checked they had none. BTW the engine comes with an AWD tranny, and it's missing a couple of other small items.

do u know what things its missing specifically? We're pretty sure that it doesnt have a wiring harness so we'll have to get one from another 1st gen eclipse but other than that i dont know of ne other parts the package excludes(besides intercooler)

Sorry, I'm from out west. I wouldn't have heard of these guys. Then again, I'm not very mechanically inclined either, so you won't see me answering many questions people ask, unless I know for sure. I do know certain aspects of the car, so if I happen to know the answer, depending on what you ask, then you'll hear from me. Heh... 8)

Well the site says it comes with the wiring harness up to the firewall, so if you feel energetic enough you can splice it in.(you'll have to run an extra 4-5 wires) Also at the bottom of the page it states there is no MAS or ignition ignitor. (little stuff).

I had a friend order a sr20det motor from there and was not impressed with the shipping time and the engine itself, apparently wasn't in the best of shape and stuff and he paid over 2000 CAD for it.

now even though it comes with an awd trans will i still be able to bolt it up with minimal work or will it be a lot of hard work. bcoz i dont know if we could do that technical stuff i mean i could always get someone i know who know alot about cars to help but id like to do this quickly and easily.

I don't think the 4g63 swap is a minimal work thing, and I am not too sure you can run an awd trans with the rear diff disconnected. Electric traction controls might make that really difficult. Why not do up the engine up that is in the car? The worst it could be is the 4g15. Modding that engine would be a good primer to doing an all out swap. Just a thought.

I checked out their site. man, for $1500+s/h?!? you're much better off just buying a 89-90 FWD DSM Man/trans Turbo. you can get one, depending on condition, from $500-$1500 & you'd get almost everything you need for a drop in deal. except for the motor mounts.

You might check out Neeedlez's www.Lethalracing.com ,go to forums~upgrades~JDM engines. They show several places to contact.
