About exactly one year ago I went out to fire up my 1992 Eagle summit 1.5,it would not fire. I ended up replacing the ECU and distributor. It has been acting up the past 3-4 months and tonight while I was out delivering pizzas it died when I went to put it into 3rd gear . My tach also went crazy and stopped working completely about an hour prior to the death of my car. It is doing the exact same thing as last time, tries to start but getting no spark. Is it safe to say it's the ecu or the ecu and the distributor again? I have a few months left on warranties and plan to fix it myself this time so please let me know if I'm headed in the right direction.

Thanks

Did you get a remanufactured ECU or was it just pulled from a junker? If the latter one, it's likely dead again. As for the tach, maybe some dielectric grease on the connectors will help? I don't know. :-?
