I don't see why it wouldn't. They're all the same. I used a late 90's Excel ECU in my 89 Mirage at one point. Same 1.5L engine..

Their actully not as identical as you would think the distributor is on the back right hand side of the motor on the excel and on my colt its on the left hand side of the motor.

That's the difference between the 8 valve and the 12 valve motor. The ECU should still work, regardless.
