Hi guys!

Do any of you have a sportfilter in your car? How did you solve the problem with the contact going into the "airfiltercontainer"??
Can i remove the container with the contact and just fit a sportfilter to the pipe??

I'll assume your talking about an aftermarket air filter. What we've done is just take the K&N replacement and using the little clips that hold the can on to the MAF unit, ditch the can and have the three clips hold the filter.

Hey when you say that you took the box out did you take the entire assembly out? Also the K&N just sitting there wont get wet at all when it rains? Thats my biggest fear.

Yea i had thought of that too but if i ever wanted to sell the car I figured that I should keep the can intact. It's been raining alot here and were set for a very bad winter so if i do I guess im going to wait till spring. Next thing for me is tinted windows!

You know what would be great is a sliding top that locked. Think about it if you cut the top and fittied a piece of plastic that would slide up and down when ever you sought fit inside the can that would be almost perfect you know. Don't know how much boost having a hole up there would give you though. I did have an idea to take the pipe and extend it from behind the passanger corner light to the behind the grill between the headlights. Make kinda a ram air design. Has anyone done that? That would definatially be good weather only.

water is bad in an intake only if its submerged so there is no fear to have.... if you are so afraid go get an aem bypass valve
