I have heard quite a number of individuals on this site who have deleted the MCA jet valve from the heads of their colts and I am wondering what the benefit is to be realized from doing this. Could someone please fill me in on this?

Jet valves are used for having a steady idle and low RPM emmisions in the cold. You don't need them if you have a warm engine before you go to emissions testing. The jet valves can crack the spot between the regular valves, and the jet valves due to the "hot"spot created. Also jet valves are a high fail item. Deletion is easy, find a non-jet valve head. Alternatively; You can plug them, but you might not improve reliability much doing so, as the differences in metal expansion can cause cracks too.
