i have been looking for some pistons for my 88 mirage with a g32b engine, i found some online that said they were for my engine but found out when i got them that they were not the same. the pistons i bought are for the non turbo engine, the seem to look and have the same measurements as my stock piston except for the dish in the top of the piston. my stock pistons have about a quarter inch deep dish in them, and the ones i got online is less than half of that.
has anyone had this problem before or any experiance using non turbo pistons in their engine? i know if i use the non turbo pistons with less dish i will raise my compression ratio but i am wondering if it will hurt anything? and if it is ok to use the new pistons will i have to modify anything to compensate for the higher compression?
i appreciate any kind of help, thanks.
