If you have spark and fuel then something should happen. You'll also need a tps for it to run correctly. Put it back on.

Check for a engine code and report back. My guess is that you'll get a bad tbs code.

As far as getting parts for your car - its going to be challenging. You'll have to research and see what options may exist. For example; your 85 mirage has equally sized injectors, 87/88 mirages went with a staggered setup where they has a smaller primary and larger secondary injector. You could theoretically swap in 87/88 turbo mirage injectors/maf/ecu.

There's members here that have these cars, but they don't always visit. Try to contact them for help.

Also these mid-late 80's turbo c10's shared the tbi system with stations/conquests and coridias. There's another option for getting tbi parts. Google for the station/conquest forums and start reading.

I don't know if the car will start without a tps. I've never tried. Considering a bad tps is on of the few (7or so?) codes the ecu will through. I would be inclined to believe that it will not start. YMWV

Ohm out the tps resistance, check for dips in the resistance and rule out the sensor at idle or high idle. If diag still leads to tps problems, heck the wiring ohm back to the ecu.
