ok went to the u pull and pulled a tranny from a 90 eclipse fm55 or some bs it says km206 on the bottom also(why would they both be on there?).i figured well they are fast mabey the gearing would be taller for more top speed in my c10............wrong its the same exact gearing still hits 28mph first gear at red line....lame and 120 at red line even more lame......so i wanted to know if there was a difference between the n/a tranny and the turbo fwd.is the final drive taller ? i hate the short shifts from 1-2 at 20mph help and info on the trannys would be good |

So you're surprised that you put the same exact tranny in your car, and it had the same exact gearing? Did you pull this tranny out of a 1.8L Eclipse? |

yeah kinda. some one said it had longer gearing and for some reason i listend ,and yes it was from a 1.8 eclipse |

Well that was your first mistake. The only ones that have longer gearing are from the turbocharged 2.0L models.

can the final drive from the km210 or F5M33 be put in the km206 instead of just getting a new tranny? |

you need a 4g63 non turbo or turbo tranny. The turbo tranny has a lower final drive I believe to help with shifting. My AWD Talon has EvoIII gears in it and that has a taller final drive for acceleration. I was going to say if you swapped in a hydraulic clutch tranny in your cable clutch colt and it worked miraculously I'd shart myself. You also have to convert everything to a hydraulic clutch setup for the 4g63 tranny's to work. |

it has a km206 its a hydraulic clutch already ,i was just asking if i can put the final drive off of a 4g63 turbo into the km206 |
