Well, new as of last September,
Bought this car at an estate sale. Had sat for I'm guessing years, but no 1 really knows how long due to the previous owner passing away suddenly and no family remaining. Not running when purchased and now it will run, but not well. Other than moving on and off a trailer, which was not a pleasant experience, I've not tried to drive yet. Runs/idles but sometimes wants to cut off and doesn't seem to have power. The mechanic that has been helping me is not sure if it isn't the turbo. We've replaced the computer (which helped, but didn't cure all the problems), also leaking fuel lines. Really just reaching out to see if there are any 84 Turbo Colt owners with experience/suggestions. The body seems to be in decent shape, with the red paint rather faded, and some minor rust in the wheel wells, but overall, my '69 Austin Mini was in much worse shape cosmetically when we bought her...so not a stranger to classic cars, but this is a much rarer 1 (they made 5 million Minis!), and not sure what kind of support there is for them.
