I picked up a CSM for a friend of mine, and then I decided to keep it. It's a 1992 Teal Eagle Summit, 4G15, 3-speed auto. It was all stock until I spent two weeks throwing an Eaton supercharger on it, along with a set of 450CC injectors, an A1000 fuel pump, SX regulator, 5-knob AFC, old school VDO boost gauge and AEM wideband. It's also now running E85, because I wanted to cool the air charge. You can see more pics an/or follow what I'm doing with the car on Instagram @tealfury

I've been playing with DSMs since the late 1990's, and have owned my 1991 Eagle Talon since 1999. It's a red RWD you may have seen at some point in time (http://www.eagletalon.net) if you've kept track of DSMs over the past 10 years or so...

I registered back in August, but apparently my account was 86'd, probably because I didn't introduce myself or something, so I'm doing that now.

Pie cut hot charge pipe. It needed to be pie cut in order to fit in the space between the throttle body and the supercharger intake pipe.

It's the 3-speed auto. Right lane is me. This is the slowest car I've ever made passes in, by far.

The supercharger project took two weeks to do, including making a crank pulley adapter (using a 1G DSM water pump pulley to drive the charger right now), mounting the charger, making the intake and charge piping, making the exhaust, making a fuel tank, putting a new fuel system in the car, wiring up all the electronics, and then going to the track to race with friends.

Still pretty quick for a 4G15. How much boost is it making?

Through most of the RPM range, it makes between 9-11psi of boost. At the end of 2nd gear it creeps up around 12-13psi, but it's hard to say exactly what RPM this happens at because the thing doesn't have a tachometer.

I might find another pulley I can use on the crank to bump the boost up without losing the electronic clutch on the S/C. I have two I can choose from and make an adapter for the crank for, I just need to decide if it's worth it to get them and do that. There is no intercooler/aftercooler to cool the air charge, but I have alcohol to do that for me, so I think I can run a bit more boost without much of a problem. May also consider some supplementary injection pre charger to cool things down even more.

The engine bay looks pretty plain; I think I'm going to paint that aluminum fuel tank satin black to keep it on the down low. If you don't look carefully, you might miss that it doesn't look stock.

That'd be a hell of a sleeper if you can get the boost levels up, you're probably close to the limits of the stock pistons though. Excellent first post btw!

Thanks guys - the intent is to keep a sleeper look on this thing.

It needs to be a lot faster than it is though - 16's just doesn't cut it! :)
