Hey guys, i'm new here recently referred to 4g61t by 89MirageMan. I currently own a 2000 Mirage LS coupe which imm slowly turning into a 4g64dohc power Asti rep and my 1997 Mirage DE sedan which i'll be converting to an Evo V replica with a turbo 4g64 dohc also. I'll be on the look out for an Expo soon for my delivery vehicle for my small company i made a couple years ago called TechNation. I'm a retailer over at mirageforums.net and hope to be able to bring parts for you guys here at 4g61t soon since csm's are getting a bit harder to find |

Not sure how I missed this but welcome. This guy is a fellow junkyard junkie. He actually came across a 3g summit hatch a little while ago and I asked him to join here. These cars are getting so scarce and we need the parts before they get crushed. If you can think of anything you need shoot him a pm. |

Thanks mirage760! Lancerman, the heads that fit the 4g93 are the 4g92 mivec dohc head, the dohc 4g93 head and the dohc 4g94 head |

Bender, you can't just put a DOHC head on the SOHC 1.8 block though right? |

HI, and welcome. Please let me know if you run across a valve cover with the -1600- casting on it. Thanks Mandy |

I'm speaking about the 4G93 from the 5g Mirage and the expo wagons, not the 1.8 from the early elantra's. What engine are you talking about?

Thanks for the welcome sunchaser! Chris, 5g 4g93 is what i meant. You can swap in a 4g92 dohc head or one from the 4g93t dohc cm5a lancer gsr I havent read much into that swap since i'm planning on using a 64 with a kia head. Just gotta get a matching head gasket. Not sure if the dohc one changes from the sohc. I believe michael cadwell from mpf has a 4g93t head on his sohc 93 block 3g hatch and 1g dsm parts |

Awesome, had no idea. I will admit that I know very little about the engine from the 5g mirage. Too bad Hyundai never made an equivalent engine to steal the DOHC head from. |

Didnt Hyundai make a 1.6 dohc? If they did, it's most likely based off of the 4g92 or 4g18. If it's based off the 92, then we're in luck for a us side dohc swap |

I've been intrigued with the growing number of mitsubishi v6 swaps in the 5th gen Mirages, from what I gather there really isn't much to it. |
