Hello All-

My name is Randy. I recently picked up a 1994 Expo FWD. 186k smokes, need struts, but runs like a dream! Im planning to do all the nessesary maintenance and drive it until the wheels fall off!

Im still a noob to the DSM world but not to cars in general

Hoping to gain and share some knowledge about these cars here.

I also own a 1991 Galant VR4 (1392/2000)

Cheers!

Hope the transmission is standard in that LRV.

They had a weak automatic that was prone to strange failures IIRC.

Love the VR4 too.

Same name at gvr4.org eh?

The Expo is unfortunately an automatic. It seems to shift and run fine for now. I plan on changing the fluid and filter with synthetic this weekend. I also developed an intermittent leak on the water pump, so I will have to change that out too.

And yes, I have the same name on vr4.org

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas!

Sometimes they hold up well. I have seen the stock w4a32 handle 20lbs of boost all day long. I will be running the awd w4a32 in my 93 Summit wagon with a shift box and slap-shifter. the full line pressure shifts will help the life of the tranny when getting on it.
