My name is Jack and I am located about 15 miles south of Tucson Arizona. I am 41 and am an official car nut. At the moment I am without a project to work on. Last month I sold both projects -

A 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-r with an SR20ve Neo VVl engine swap (fully modded car) I spent about 12,000 bucks on the car and built it, didn't buy it (Personally, my favorite motto). I sold it for 3000.00 bucks, as I'm sure most of you know these japanese and american compacts from this era are addictive but don't go for much money....yet.

The other project I sold was a 2005 srt-4 with 53,000 original miles. Didn't have to do much to this one. Just did poly bushings all the way around, brake pads, wideband, a little exhaust work, and a 91 octane tune. the rest of the work was fighting torque steer clear up to 4th gear.

I have a been an unregistered lurker here for three years, and am looking for an original 4g61t car. They seem to be getting harder and harder to find, but I'm not scared! The hunt is all part of the project! Hopefully I can spend another 400 man hours and 12,000 bucks to sell it at a huge loss in a couple of years...HA!

Nonetheless, thanks for reading! If anyone would like some pics of the cars described I would be glad to send 'em over. Also, if you ever see a 4g61t car in my Tucson/Phoenix area please send me a message. Thanks!

Thanks for the info Steve, we were in the Mid-town area for a couple years off Wilmot, I never saw the the car you're speaking of. I was driving a 1991 red Spirit R/t at the time. By driving I mean, it was broken down in the garage with me me sweating and bleeding over it most of the time. Those turbo III engines put out and then quickly gave out.

Welcome to our forum. This will probably be one of the best places for you to find an authentic GT. I've only ever seen one real GT in my life and I had to travel to San Diego and meet up with a great guy on here named CaptainTonus and he showed me the only real GT that I've ever seen. Granted there wasn't much left of the real "GT" part of it but it was still insane and everything a Colt should be nonetheless. I've swapped two Colts (a 92 and an 89) and I sold them both. I know that one of them is still around and my old Summit sedan is still here too but boy do I miss them all (especially the 92 and the sedan) but I know that they went to good homes.

Anyway, I hope that you have fun here and if you do happen to get your hands on one of these cars please make sure to keep us all updated on your build.

Spending way too much money on a $500 car is my specialty. Welcome to the forum.

Steve I never had the spirit out. It was extremely quick, but I just couldn't keep it running. Those engines were notorious for chewing intermediate shafts the 110 ft lbs. Recommended on the timing belt was probably culprit lol. Its still in town though. The guy who bought it is in the college area.

Tell him to get the tune from Archie at psi performance. That guy is a genius and a mitsubishi expert. He welded an aluminum tranny case for me and it was better than new. He takes his time but does it right. His shop is Evo city.

Wow 3 years of lurking?? haha Welcome finally! BTW finding a Original turbo CSM will be hard, even a normal CSM sometimes turns into a hard hunting, but yeah not as bad like the original turbo ones

I've always had a lot of interest in these cool cars, whenever I was in the market for a new project I'd drop on by and check out the classifieds.

Anyone happen to know if they made a gt hatch from the factory in this model:

They did, but only 89 had Turbo's available, and only 1500 of those. Always seems to be easier to find a non-turbo model and convert it. Plus you save on insurance as you are insuring a 1.5l non-turbo vs a turbo car.

As for the link above. $1300 for a 2 cylinder rattle-canned 21 year old car? he is about $1000 too high.

Thanks for the info. That one seems priced in prep for a beat down.
