Someone has already swapped it over, I'm almost curious if they're on this board. It was near Cleveland.
Seems to have some rust issues, but hopefully will clean up some. Oh its a 5 speed too.

I forget the guy's name, I have met him at the shootout a few years ago, it ran 13's.

Well, I've done a ton of work but it still needs more. I replaced every metal brake line under the car. Did rear rotors, pads, and parking brake shoes. Had to replace both front calipers(lucky me they are GVR4 brakes) and pads, and had to replace the alternator as well. But finally was able to drive it. Next on the list is a boost leak test because it runs terrible.

Well Ive done a lot of work to this thing over the months. Don't have pics of everything but I have a few. List of whats been accomplished so far.
Did a BLT and found all sorts of leaks.
Replaced the intercooler
Injector seals
TB seals were bad so I Fought with putting a DSM throttle body on it. It was not a direct bolt on like I anticipated.
Installed some BC 272's with revised lifters
Replaced a junk exhaust manifold
Installed a new rear diff bar
Its running a lot better. Really want something bigger than the Big 16G though.
Heres a few pics, wish I would have taken more.

Side note, I put some MR gauges in it. Unfortunately I couldn't do what I wanted for the oil temp gauge. I really wanted to turn it into a coolant temp gauge but couldn't get it working. If anyone would have some ideas for it I'd love to hear it.

Did you make that rear diff bar yourself? Can someone knowledgeable comment on whether or not using mild steel or stainless steel tubing with a MIG welder is advisable to do something like this?

Looks great!

Those bars were a killer deal! DSM vendors usually want around $200 for them! And DSMs do not even need them ;).

Thanks! Will have some new pics and updates soon. It's been on jackstands for 3 weeks now trying like hell to find a good fuel tank.

Man, I like the expos just a little bit more than the summits/colts..... not sure why yet
Anyhow, nice project. I have a spare tank here but I am in Mission, BC, Canada (near Vancouver)
I'd be willing to sell but I have no idea regarding shipping.
PM me if you want to try and figure something out.
FYI..... I am looking to get myself a set of headlights (and the trim below the lights as well) from a 95 or later Summit, not sure if the expos has the same headlight change.

Well the car spent about 3 months on jack stands, but I got a lot done. Originally, I only wanted to replace the gas tank. Well I searched and searched all over but couldn't come up with one so I had to get mine repaired. In the meantime it allowed me to get quite a bit done.

Got my PTE DDB 50 trim installed.

At some point I need to get a different wastegate and o2 housing. The wastegate was up against the intercooler.

I couldnt fit my stock radiator anymore, so a Honda radiator will work.

Intercooler piping and radiator hoses sorted.

I painted the back half of the interior.

New tires and plasti-dipped my wheels

Here's a shot of the tank, ended up taking it to a machine shop, they patched it up fairly well. I layed a coat of Flex Seal on it to protect from anymore rust.

Some LED headlights

Rewired the fuel pump

Also not pictured, I put a wideband in.
Now I need to get the boost dialed in and tune it. It runs decent now, but it's only on 14lbs. I'm going to bump it up to 20 and see how it does. Rewired 255 and some 720 injectors I should be ok.
