Im back!

So I successfully lifted my Vista 2" in the front to level the ride height some months ago. Now my rear end is in horrible shape! Did I screw myself or did something blow out, break what? With in the last month my rear tires have begun to V, the tops are way in and the inside of the tires are wearing away quickly. Any thoughts or ideas? Mine is to use the adjustable spring spacers to lift the rear in hopes to straighten it all back up. Maybe my struts/bushings are blown or rust has made it sag or bend? I'm nlt exactly easy on MOE! He goes off roading and loves the mud...any thoughts or previous experience? Pics coming tomorrow

Thanks again in advance!

Pics of said issue?

Do you have access to a low budget alignment camber tool?

If your springs are sagging, then that could account for the rear sitting too low. Shocks/struts only control the spring oscillations.

I would inspect your frame and related areas of potential issue. Without your eyes on it directly and some pics to show us what is happening, there isn't a whole lot we can do except speculate.

I cant remember how the hell to post pics. I tried photobucket but only having this old phone doesn't help!

Anyway, I tried to put the spring lifts in and realized my lower control arm. Or whatever you call just the one on bottom is totally rusted out. So I am pretty sure it is bending, making the top of my tire rub the shock dust guard. Does anyone know if the fwd and awd ones are the same before I start hitting the junyards? I really need my wagon on the road asap!! Its my DD and I am borrowing my Moms car. She has knee surgery so it kind of worked out but Monday she is back to work...

I HATE rust!!! It consumes all my cars. :(

Buy new ones and don't ever have to consider rusted out components!

1992 Plymouth Colt Vista /Vista SE ???

Maybe scratch that, as RockAuto doesn't even have a listing.

Call your local parts warehouses and see what they can scrounge up.

No one sells them, the junkyards laugh at me when I tell them the make and model. Once I add in that it is awd they ask me to leave...hahha. Anyway the driver side has gone all the way through so the car is not safe to drive...

Steve, I am pretty sure that your van is doing the opposite ;). I talked to some RVR guys down under and they suggested cutting off and re-welding control arm attachment points. I am not sure I like this approach, but there might not be another option.

As for the OP, if I had too much positive camber from lifting it too much, I would look into placing spacers between the rear sub frame and the body (you would also need a longer bolts). But that is much easier than lowering :(.
