Well I finally gave in and sold my fully built and turbo'd 4G64/4G63T 1996 Eagle Summit AWD 5 spd van to my brother. I almost sold it to him last year income tax time and changed my mine at the last minute. I've been building and working on the van since 2007 in various stages and builds. I'm sure I'll be actively helping him with it until he is confident to tune with Ecmlink. Ecmlink estimate has it making 452/405 on E85 (which should be fairly close if ecmlink is calibrated right). With bigger cams and better intake manifold there is a lot more hp/tq left with the current turbo (old school red 60-1/TD06H 11 blade). I would say that's a fairly close assessment as my Mustang that runs low 12's at the track can't catch it (I tried to yesterday after he bought it and took it for a drive). That little van is a rocket. I never realized how fast or how much the van squats in the back and takes off till yesterday. It just pulls so frigging hard and keeps pulling. I was proud and sad at the same time.

Anyways I want to thank all the people on here and various other forums that helped me along the way in the different stages of building it. If I had to do it again I definitely would drop a 4G63T and wire harness swap from the start. But to be fair the torque of the 2.4 is nice out of boost and helps to spool the turbo up faster, it was just a lot of work. It's been an interesting journey, but someone else has to take the reigns. Plus he gave me what I wanted for it so that a plus. I hate to see it go, but it sat in the garage 90% of the time. Need to let someone else have fun with it.

Well, two sides to a story.

Your brother gets to learn and ask whatever questions he wants of us, about his new project.

You get to relish in the fact that you and a handful of others are gurus in the art of bad-ass van modifications.

Nobody ever leaves the fold, they just put on a different set of sun glasses.

Switch 'em up like cars. ..... or in your case, vans!

I have been thinking about making a van my next project, or a galant vr4 when the time is right.

While I do love my 3g hatch, I will say the wagons make better DD's in my opinion. Way more storage in the back too.
