No Napa stores up there? They have metric taps. Plus 10mm 1.25 is a pretty common size as well.

So there are the spacers we made! Hoping to cram them in tonight....hopefully they go in easily. Being only 2 inches tall I should in theory be able to just unbolt up top and stand on the control arm to pull them down far enough.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Just make sure the outer and inner axle cups don't bind when at full lock, up and down and side to side while fully down.

Mission abandoned last night sadly. I just couldn't get enough space to thread them on to the top hats! Plus it was utterly freezing and I'm a panzy! Will try again this weekend and hopefully have some pics for you all...

Thanks Flying Eagle for the ninja edit!!

I really hope they don't cause any issues. Being only 2 inches I bet the springs have sagged more than that! If not I can always face a 1/4" off each side...

I ended up exploding a CV joint in my lifted laser this weekend. Seems the lift pushes the axle into the trans a bit, so at full lock and high rpm's the CV joint says no more! Just be careful not to over do the lift, or at least don't do doughnuts in the snow :)

Well I finally got the lift in and Moe sits almost perfectly level now! Front end may be slightly higher but I won't know until daylight and it's on flat ground. No noise or binding at full lock. Pics to come tomorrow!! Thank you to everyone who chimed in to help and to this forum for the idea.

P.s. still no 4th gear. ...

2 inches higher in front!

I can't wait to put the rear adjustable spring perches in to even it out now! Then on to the roof rack and bumpers...
