Off the top of my head, my 95 dsm coil pack is plugged into the 95 dsm igniter and the tach wire on the igniter is running to the previous tach wire off the distributor, which runs back to the ecu tach input.

From what I read I need 2 different signals for the 95 dsm ecu and factory summit tach to work?
One wire back to the ecu tach input and a separate tach signal to the tachometer for my 95 dsm ecu and tachometer both to work?
The tach wire at the ignitor should then be putting out 2 pulses per engine rev, it basically combines the pulses from each coil, and returns it to the ECU on the tach output from the ignitor.

I would guess that a distributor tach output would also be 2 pulses per engine rev, because that is very common for 4 cyl tachs. Where did you read that you needed 2 different signals, and did they say why?

Well I got the in dash Tach to work, I ended up swapping out a 92 dsm rpm tach internals to my eagle summit plastic plate and gauge overlay. I wired it up, ran the tach wire to a 90 tach adapter, wired it to my 2g dsm coil pack and bingo, works. I originally tried to get the tach to work off the tach signal to the ecu from the ignitor at first, but no dice. I know I have a tach signal at the ecu from the ignitor though as my dsmlink shows it when logged. Any how the tach is wired up and working properly matches ecmlink within 50 rpms at all revs. I also had to use the gauge needle from the 92 dsm rpm gauge, the summit gauge needle matched up at idle with ecm link but once revs climbed it would be off further and further as rpms rose. I think the 92 dsm gauge needle is a tad longer and maybe weighted different.

I got ecmlink installed and tuned at 15 psi for now till I get a little more mileage on everything, then upping the boost to 22-24psi. I also swapped up to FIC 1050sp high z injectors, and in the process of installing STM 6an tank to rail kit with a fuel lab fuel filter and Walbro 450lph.

Great progress! Are you planning on going to the shootout?

I won't be able to this year, but I already talked to the wife and planning it for next year. I also plan on trying to hit up one of the huge import meets in the South East. I missed the one that was in Nashville last year and it got moved to Atlanta this year.

You going? It would be pretty badass to see a handful of these turbocharged vans at a meet.

I also might be picking up a white 92 expo LRV awd I found locally (165k original miles), 6 bolt swap should bolt in if I remember right.

If that LRV is 5 speed, give me a shout... I've been wanting one! :)

Is there a write up/how to somewhere? I just bought a 95' Summit Wagon DL and having a 4g63 with Transmission sitting on my garage is tempting me to do this, I already checked all the wires that match between ECU's but I also would like to know more info about the ones that don't match and the ones that needs to be added...
