Guys, I gave up trying to find an aftermarket rear bar for my Summit, so I am looking into having a custom bar made. So far, I found www.Robispec.com, but they a car in a shop... This leads me to the following questions:

- do we have anyone in LA area with a van? (omertaitalia?)
- who would be interested in something like this?

I had my spelling wrong... It is robispec.com, they are in LA area, but not obvious from their site. Cost will depend how many people jump on this. My guess it will be $200-$300.

You have identical geometry to ours, so that should be OK.

That looks like he makes strut bars (not sway bars).

Have you tried talking to these guys? I am convinced that we can really benefit from an upgraded sway bar(s).

I wonder if a sway bar from a elantra, cold DOHC, or DSM work?

The rear suspension on these vans is radically different from everything else in Mitsu family! I was able to adapt EVO7/9 shocks (only, no springs), but it is highly unlikely that anything else would work.

Even if you get it to fit, your next problem finding a large enough bar! Vans have 20mm stock bar, 2G turbo FWD has 15mm and 2G AWD is "only" 18mm stock! Even RM sway bars are 22mm (biggest you can get for 2G), where as we would want something around 24mm for our upgrade.

I was hoping that turbo vans from other markets will have larger bars, but no such luck... They are the same size :(

When is your projected start-up date? Do we have anyone else in southern CA area?
